The Thrill of Live Performance 
The Nutcracker Ballet, Competitive Dance, and Concert Dance

At Lake Shore Dance, we firmly believe that dance performance is an important part of our dancers' education.  The process of learning and preparing choreography for stage presentation brings the weekly training to an exciting and gratifying conclusion each year. Nutcracker Ballet

The Nutcracker Ballet tradition continues at Lake Shore Dance! Children work with our talented faculty staging the ballet and experiencing the excitement of bringing a magical world to life! 


Children age four and over  come together to whisk you away on a journey through the "The Land of the Sweets". This is an experience that your child will cherish for a lifetime.  

Competitive Dance

Dancers love the opportunity to grace the stage at dance competition! Your child gets to wear gorgeous costumes and  dance a variety of age appropriate and exciting choreography  while performing with their best friends on the competition stage!

We believe that dance competition is an great way for our dancers to grow as performers.  Competition offers our students the opportunity to perform more frequently which builds confidence and professionalism. Additionally, our dancers receive feedback from the judges at competition that inspire them to get into the studio and continue their training and become the best they can be!  

We offer 3 teams specifically tailored to meet the needs of all potential competitors. Dancers audition for placement on our competition teams in the spring and fall and prepare dances in rehearsal for performance.  Our talented faculty and guest choreographers set pieces on our dancers that inspire and challenge our dancers.

Annual Spring Show


Every May/June, Lake Shore Dance students all have the opportunity to perform on stage for their families in a beautiful and organized presentation of dances showcasing the skills they learned over the past dance year.   This experience is a positive way to introduce children to the performance stage!
